Pet Cremation Arranged Through Your Vet
Most families ask their vet first, and that's the right instinct. Here is exactly what happens when your vet hands the cremation to us, and what it costs (the same as calling us yourself).
How it works, step by step
That's the whole instruction. The clinic holds your pet safely, and we coordinate directly with their front desk. You can also call us and we'll phone the clinic for you, even after hours.
Daily or on-call runs across our metro areas. Your pet is ID-tagged at pickup, in front of clinic staff, and the tag number is logged to your booking and sent to you by SMS.
One pet, one chamber, two-person tag verification before and after. You can call us for an update at any point, or attend the cremation at no extra cost.
Your choice. Back to the clinic on our next run, or hand-delivered to your home, sealed with the tag and a signed certificate. Usually within 5 working days.
Vet package vs booking us directly
Many clinics offer their own cremation package through a contracted provider. That is often a fine service. The questions worth asking before you decide: is it truly one pet per chamber, what physically identifies your pet through the process, and is the return hand-delivered?
Our answers are documented on how your pet's ashes are tracked and returned, and everything that comes home with the ashes is listed at what's included.

My pet was euthanised at the vet. What do I do now?
Nothing urgent. The clinic can hold your pet safely. When you are ready, tell them "Pet Farewell will collect" or call us on 0478 097 537 and we will arrange it with the clinic directly.
Does going through the vet cost more?
No. Clinic collection is included in our normal pricing: communal from $280, individual with ashes returned from $480. If the clinic quotes you their own cremation package, you are free to compare inclusions.
My pet is at an emergency vet at 2am. Can you help?
Yes. We answer 24/7 and coordinate with after-hours clinics all the time. The clinic holds your pet, we arrange pickup, and you do not have to make any decisions tonight.
Can the vet arrange it without me talking to you at all?
Yes, many families prefer that. The clinic books us, we handle everything, and your only contact is the tag-number SMS and the ashes coming home. Talk to us as much or as little as you want.
Do you pay vets for referrals?
No. Clinics refer us because the process is documented and their clients come back grateful. We never market to their clients or upsell at the door.
